Main ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking GNSS Operators to work within the Galileo Reference Centre in the Netherlands. The GNSS Operators are responsible for actioning the planned activities as per the short-term plans. Work to be performed at the GRC in Noordwijk.

Galileo is an autonomous European satellite radio navigation system which is interoperable with other existing GNSS systems, in particular the Global Positioning System (GPS). Galileo provides a number of services through a combination of capabilities of the core system components (GCS/GMS/SSEG) and interfacing entities: Support Facilities, Service Facilities, and External Entities.
As a GNSS Operator you will have the following responsibilities:
- Routine generation of GRC reference products;
- Routine operation of the Precise Time Reference;
- Galileo SIS and health status monitoring;
- Galileo on-board clock monitoring;
- Galileo Services monitoring;
- Real time monitoring;
- Multi-GNSS reference data output generation and Performance Monitoring;
- Data management for RIMS stations, EDAS data, and SBAS networks;
- Generation and provision of core metrics and statistics;
- Collection and provision of metrics and data related to feared events;
- EGNOS and other SBAS monitoring;
- Cross-checking and validation monitoring;
- Galileo NAGU Cross-check Infrastructure Operations;
- Galileo Data Cross-check Operations;
- Performance Investigation Operations;
- Operations and System Maintenance and Upgrade
- Data retrieval for EWS, SAR, CIP and GNSS Prediction and monitoring;
- ARAIM monitoring;
- Performance at user domain monitoring;
- Feared events monitoring;
- Ionosphere monitoring;
- Provision of necessary data relevant for the user segments, certification support activities, and taskforces, such as, Aviation (EASA, EuroControl), Maritime (EMSA), Rail (ERA), Receiver and Service Certification, IGMA Taskforce, GRC secondary functions;
- Service volume analysis;
- Campaign-based analysis;
- Automation of routine data management and retrieval from Galileo and EGNOS Cooperating Countries;
- Provide support to investigations where required;
- Data management and archiving
- Support to the nominal operations short-mid-long term planning
- Produce and maintain the documentation required for the GRC operations
- Regularly monitoring of performance of the operational equipment and report any deviation from the nominal values as defined in the operations procedures.
- Carry out experimentation and support requests activities as agreed as part of the weekly coordination meetings.
Successful Candidate
Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, telecommunication, geodetic, computer science or related.
- At least three years of experience in any of the following areas: GNSS, SBAS systems, Linux commanding, Hands on Operations in satellite-based systems.
- The following experience will be considered an additional value: GNSS receivers, antennas and RF cable, SAR, EWS
- Fluent in English
