Could you be the full-time Project Verification & Validation Designer in Copenhagen we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Verification & Validation (V&V) expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, motivated and curious teammates.
You'll be a member of the Verification and Validation team and you’ll be involved in defining the integration and validation test strategy and carrying out the testing activities on a complex signalling project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (primarily with the Project Verification and Validation Manager and Project Core Team), defining and reviewing the test procedures for the onboard ETCS sub-system and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of running tests, analysing the results and writing test reports (factory integration, static commissioning onboard the trains, dynamic functional tests on test and open tracks), but also supporting the deployment and maintenance of the test bench and tools to carry out the tests.
We’ll look to you for:
- Organising and performing troubleshooting in case of failure and formalize anomaly reports
- Defining regression test strategies after anomaly correction in coordination with the back-office engineering team
- Providing support and technical expertise to the other teams
- Managing configuration and change management cycle related to V&V activities and documents (simulation configuration, anomaly tracking, site result reports etc.)
- Representing Alstom in front of customers or partners to provide an overview of test progress, issues, risks and opportunities.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Expertise in system engineering
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken is essential to this position’s demands.
- At least 2 years in relevant positions (systems/sub-systems integration, embedded equipment, electrotechnical product or software development/testing) in a highly complex and normative environment (pharma, railway signalling, aerospace, naval, defence, nuclear) would be a significant asset.
- Understanding and experience in processes for safety-critical systems is beneficial e.g. requirement handling, document handling and the generic application development process.
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
- Work with products that after being developed are used by other Alstom teams around the world and generate major cost savings in customer projects.
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
- Contribute to innovative projects
- Utilise our hybrid working environment
- Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
- Progress towards Project Verification & Validation Manager.
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
