Head of Content (Maternity Leave) [Netherlands]

The Social Hub is looking for a Head of Content (maternity leave cover) for 8 months.

As the Head of Content, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all content strategy, planning, and production across all touchpoints and audiences. You work closely with other Marketing and Performance teams to ensure the consistency of our content, including Brand content, Marketing content, Employee Branding content and corporate content. You directly manage the TSH Social Media strategy to level up our Social Community presence and the power of our social channels. You are also directly in the lead of our digital content strategy through our main owned platforms.

Your role is vital as the guardian of The Social Hub's editorial output, annual content calendar and content creation across our campaigns, channels and touchpoints. Reporting to the Director of Brand and Content, you will help manage a team of four FTEs, multiple freelancers and agencies, maximizing resources to enable a strong and efficient content plan. With a focus on brand and narrative consistency and efficiencies in the creation process, you drive the content strategy from planning to performance measurement. You're a strong collaborative lead, building positive and fruitful relationships with your internal stakeholders and external partners.

What You'll Do

  • You will define a clear editorial strategy and lead The Social Hub's yearly content plan to support the commercial, marketing, and community objectives and to achieve agreed KPIs.
  • You will develop and execute content planning and budgets. By doing this you guarantee timelines and feasibility of our main brand and marketing initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the digital marketing team, brand team, community team, growth team, and CRM team, you will develop and implement a content plan and strategy to enhance audience reach.
  • You will establish the content pillars, Hero/Hub/Hygiene structure, and a content distribution strategy to ensure exceptional brand and marketing communication to guests and the community.
  • In collaboration with the other Marketing and Performance team and Digital Experience team, develop and implement the TSH content plan and strategy through our owned digital channels through all stages of the marketing funnel: awareness, consideration, conversion and retention. In order to achieve TSH goals in both performance and experience, plan and implement a consistent content plan for our app and website.
  • In collaboration with the Creative Director and Brand Strategist ensure a strong and consistent tone of voice and identity across touchpoints: online and offline, at each stage of the customer journey. Collaborate with Creative Director and Director and Brand and Content on hero campaigns.
  • In collaboration with the Digital Marketing team, Growth team, and CRM team, ensure the consistency of our marketing messaging and assets: You will analyze market trends, the competitive landscape, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for revenue growth
  • You will implement effective upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and drive additional revenue.
  • You will be working together with strong partners and an internal studio, you develop and implement and continuously improve the content production flow.
  • You are responsible for respecting and forecasting the budget and maximizing our resources and our content quality.
  • As a central point of content, Social Media channels and strategy will be managed directly by you. Your priority will be to drive the plan and team to bring our Social Channels to the next level.
  • You will collaborate closely with other marketing and brand teams to make social channels both highly performant and the central place of our community.
  • You will work with data to analyze the performance of content depending on message formats, and tactics, and proactively address any areas for improvement.
  • You will develop initiatives to enhance the full content flow across channels and teams.

Who You Are

  • You hold an education background consisting of a bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree in these fields is preferred for an even stronger foundation.
  • You have proven experience in multiple-channel content strategy (social media, CRM, newsletter, website, app) in a marketing or brand department, or a related managerial role.
  • You possess a background in editorial, creative agency, journalism, or publishing, which is favorable.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership skills, showcasing your ability to motivate and inspire a team and unify stakeholders.
  • You've got English proficiency covered, either at a native level or with impressive fluency. And if you're also well-versed in the local language, that's definitely a nice extra touch.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with external partners, the creative team, and internal stakeholders.
  • You bring content editing experience to the table, along with a keen eye for maintaining the right tone of voice and narrative consistency.
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding of content production best practices and effective ways of working in this domain.
  • You approach challenges with an analytical and creative mindset, allowing you to not only identify opportunities but also suggest new content formats or initiatives.
  • Your capacity to harness innovation and technology shines through, as you utilize these tools to enhance efficiency in your role.
  • You exhibit a solution-oriented approach, consistently striving to address challenges effectively and efficiently.
  • Your financial literacy is evident, enabling you to confidently manage budgets, business plans, and agency relationships.
