Job Description
ViaBTC Capital (capital.viabtc.com) is the investment arm of ViaBTC Group, a comprehensive blockchain technology company. Founded in mid-2021, ViaBTC Capital manages an asset size of $150mm in crypto funds, liquid tokens, early-stage projects, and quantitative investments.
We are seeking a Principal to join the team. This individual will set the strategy for crypto ventures and grow the investment team by researching, identifying, and sourcing investment opportunities in promising early-stage blockchain projects.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Ventures strategy, aligned with the ViaBTC's overall vision and goals
- Lead and manage the Ventures team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's achievements
- Build and maintain deep relationship key industry players, including founders, investors, and thought leaders, to syndicate deal sourcing
- Lead due diligence efforts and negotiation on potential investments
- Drive internal IC decision-making process
- Monitor and report portfolio performance, and adjust existing strategies
- Maintain relationships with portfolio companies, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals
- Represent ViaBTC Capital at conferences and online/offline events to raise brand awareness
Job requirements：
- Strong passion for Web3 / Crypto industry and a keen interest in the latest market trends and technologies
- At least 3 years of experience in the cryptocurrency industry and 8-10 years of working experience in venture capital/private equity investing.
- At least 2 years of team management experience
- Proven track record of successful investments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
- Full-time, remote work and willing to travel as required
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
